Omar Figueroa:
Hundreds if not thousands of punches, a brawling, aggressive style, power-packed, exciting fights: these are the hallmarks of former world champion boxer Omar “Panterita” Figueroa Jr. – one of the most exciting fighters in boxing. The Weslaco, Texas native has been fighting for over 20 years, and at 26 years of age, this ‘fighting Figueroa’ has become one of the sports most revered young champions. He has been training in Indio with Diaz since the beginning of 2017.
Figueroa re-enters the ring July 15 after an 18-month lay-off. He took time off to, in his words, “just be human.”  Figueroa takes on Robert Guerrero in a 147-pound match at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, New York on FOX on July 15.
Joel Díaz – World Champion boxing trainer:
Joel Díaz is a retired Mexican-American boxer who fought in the Lightweight division. Considered to be one of the best trainers in boxing, he trains out of Indio, CA and has trained numerous champions in boxing and MMA.
Brandon Figueroa:
One of the ‘fighting Figueroas,’ Brandon “The Heartbreaker” Figueroa is an undefeated  (12/8-0-0) Super Bantamweight (122lb) fighter. 20-years-old, he is the younger brother to Omar and is on the undercard in the July 15 fight at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Trained by Diaz, he won his last fight by unanimous decision.
