COME MEET LA GALAXY DEFENDER OMAR GONZALEZ
2011 MLS Defender of the Year will be at four different Caravan fans stops this weekend
CARSON, Calif. (Friday, February 24, 2012) – LA Galaxy defender Omar González will be driving the Galaxy Caravan – Countdown to Kickoff, so to speak, as González is scheduled to attend four different fan stops this weekend. That’s four different opportunities for fans to meet the 2011 MLS Defender of the Year– two on Saturday and two more on Sunday.
González will first be appearing at The Home Depot in San Pedro (2115 N Gaffey St.,San Pedro, Calif.) this Saturday from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. He will then head to the LA Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, Calif.) for the Cal South Soccer Nation Expo to be at the LA Galaxy booth from 2 – 3:30 p.m.
On Sunday, González will start at the Cal South Soccer Nation Expo from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and then head to the Northgate Market in Norwalk (11660 East Firestone Blvd., Norwalk, Calif.). He will be signing autographs from 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
At each stop, fans will have the opportunity to meet González and pose for photos with the 2011 MLS Cup, as well as pick up the official Caravan t-shirt, courtesy of adidas, bag, magnet schedule and preseason roster card.
Additionally, on Saturday, The Home Depot will provide a free workshop for kids on how to build their own soccer ball sports rack and have various representatives on hand to get fans ready for the upcoming spring gardening season. 98.7 fm, L.A.’s Rock Alternative music station, will also be present to liven up the atmosphere.
The 2012 LA Galaxy Caravan, presented by The Home Depot, is scheduled to make Fan Stops throughout the Southern California area as the club prepares to defend the 2011 MLS Cup Championship.
