Proceeds to Benefit Boston Bruins Foundation
BOSTON, MASS. – UFC® today announced a charitable partnership with the Boston Bruins Foundation to launch a combined online and in-venue 50/50 raffle campaign during Fight Week of UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: REYES vs. WEIDMAN, which takes place on Friday, October 18, at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Starting today, fans ages 18 years or older who are located in the state of Massachusetts at the time of purchase may buy raffle tickets online via UFCBoston5050.com.
Fans will also be able to participate in the 50/50 raffle at TD Garden beginning at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, October 18, in conjunction with UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: REYES vs. WEIDMAN. All net proceeds will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation.
This collaboration, a first for UFC together with the Boston Bruins, is a way for UFC to give back to the local Boston community for hosting UFC during fight week. UFC and the Boston Bruins will help increase the overall awareness of the 50/50 raffle by promoting the initiative to their respective fan bases throughout the state of Massachusetts.
The Boston Bruins Foundation is the charitable arm of the team, with the mission of collaborating with charitable organizations that demonstrate a commitment to health and wellness, education, and athletics. Since its inception, the Foundation has generated more than $38 million through various events and initiatives. The Foundation strongly believes that advocating for children and families across these areas will create a strong support system that will ultimately lead to the betterment of its community.
Raffle tickets are for sale at the following prices:
- 5 for $10
- 20 for $20
- 80 for $40
- 300 for $100
Raffle tickets are currently available online and will continue to be sold through the second fight on the main card at UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: REYES vs. WEIDMAN. Sales will close at 10 p.m., with the winning ticket number scheduled to be announced at approximately 10:30 p.m. Purchasers must be 18 years or older to play.
The winner of the raffle will receive 50 percent of the total 50/50 ticket sales, while the remaining 50 percent will go to the Boston Bruins Foundation. Once the winning ticket number has been announced and posted at UFCBoston5050.com, the winner must contact the Boston Bruins Foundation to claim their prize by 5 p.m. on November 17, 2019.
A winning ticket may be redeemed in person at TD Garden by going to the Guest Relations Office of the arena or by contacting the Boston Bruins Foundation via email at email@example.com within 30 days from the date of the drawing. Winner must present the winning ticket, photo ID, and complete applicable tax information to claim the prize. Once confirmed, the winner will receive a check within 45 business days from the date the prize is claimed.
